Concept: Modern Performance Hybrid
Construction: Individually hand-shaped in Britain.
Glass Specification: Double 4oz deck with a single 4oz bottom, creating a light, lively construction that keeps the Mini Sumou feeling fast, responsive and playful beneath your feet.
Fin Configuration: Five Futures fin boxes allow the Mini Sumou to be ridden as a Thruster, Quad or Twin plus Trailer. Each setup unlocks a different personality, encouraging riders to fine-tune the board to suit both the conditions and their own style of surfing.
Construction Options: Available with custom resin tints, pigments and bespoke artwork.
Designer's Notes
The Mini Sumou was never intended to become another category of surfboard.
It was designed to deliver the kind of sessions that remind us why we started surfing in the first place.
Compact, lively and incredibly easy to surf, it catches waves with surprising ease before coming alive the moment your feet hit the deck. The balanced glass specification keeps the board feeling crisp and responsive, while the versatile five-fin setup allows you to tune its character from loose and playful to fast and drivey.
Some boards ask you to adapt your surfing to suit them.
The Mini Sumou simply encourages you to go and have fun.
Because that's exactly what it was built for.
Ideal Conditions
Wave Size: Knee-high to overhead. 3-6'
Wave Type: Beach breaks, reefs and points with enough shape to allow the board's speed and manoeuvrability to shine.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced.
Best For: Surfers wanting a playful, performance-orientated hybrid that combines effortless wave-catching with lively responsiveness.
Not Designed For: Surfers looking for an ultra-specialised competition shortboard or a dedicated groveller.

5'7" x 20 1/3" x 2 5/8" (Approx. 32L) — The performance sweet spot, with a deliberately tuned 20 1/3" width.
5'9" x 20 3/4" x 2 5/8" (Approx. 35L) — Our most versatile everyday size.
6'0" x 20 3/4" x 2 5/8" (Approx. 37L) — Added glide with shortboard feel.
6'3" x 20 3/4" x 2 3/4" (Approx. 40L) — Maximum wave count for larger surfers.
